The Zion Crossroads Volunteer Fire Department is located in southwestern Louisa County, Virginia, and serves one of the fastest growing regions in the state. (The U.S. Census Bureau recently ranked Louisa as the 73rd-fastest growing county in the nation.)With expanding subdivisions, multi-story commerical buildings and about 13 miles of I-64, our busy department responds to both fire and ems calls.
Through the years, our calls have grown from only 95 in 1993 to over 500 calls per year.
The Zion Crossroads Fire Department is supported each year by Louisa County with an operating budget, and receives great support each year in donations from the community and the local businesses.
Our volunteers are always seeking new members for all operations of the department.

The Zion Crossroads Volunteer Fire Department is located near the intersection of Route 15 and Route 250 and Route 15 and Interstate 64. This area is known as Zion Crossroads and is near the counties of Fluvanna, Orange, Albemarle and is close to Goochland county. Our station is responsible for about 13 miles of Interstate 64 and serves a growing population base.
In 2003, the department had outgrown the three bay building and added two more bays and converted one of the existing bays for the day room/kitchen, bunk room and offices. In 2004, the department purchased a new ambulance and officially became a transport agency.
