On a rainy Saturday, April 11, 2009, the Zion Crossroads Volunteer Fire Department opened the doors to the public with the annual Open House event. Despite a few rain showers, the members had quite a few area families drop by and see demonstrations by firefighters and EMTs. The clouds even stopped enough for the Easter bunny to drop by and hide some Easter eggs around the station for little visitors to find.
